Let me be the first to welcome you to a brand New Year of crafting.
The Robin's Nest 2017 Design Team has been eagerly awaiting their debut. I know you will enjoy all the new inspirational projects we will bring in the coming months. Today, I have a card tutorial where I will share a simple and effective way to use Dew Drops in your paper crafting. My tutorial features stunning Metallic Pink Dew Drops so come along as I walk you through it step by step.

Robin's Nest Supplies:
Birthday Stars Glitter Cardstock, Metallic Pink Dew Drops, Limoncello Glitter Cardstock, Purple Flowers Glitter Cardstock (reverse), Green Glitter Journal Tags, Dew Dew Glue

Other Supplies: double sided tape, card base 5x7"
Directions:
1. First, fussy cut around a journaling block leaving a narrow white border edge.

2. Cut a piece of Birthday Stars Glitter Cardstock. (5x7") Carefully, tear along both long sides to reveal the white core.

3. Cut a piece of Limoncello Glitter Cardstock (2x4.5") Matte it with a narrow edge of purple cardstock. Adhere two strips of purple cardstock along the top & bottom edge of the card base.

4. Adhere the Birthday Stars Glitter Cardstock to the cardbase and cut off any overhanging excess paper. Then, attach the matted rectangle to the center of the card. Next, use your fingers to gently roll the torn edge of the paper. Slightly crease it in order to reveal the pattern on the backside creating a subtle contrasting border.

5. Adhere the journaling block to the center of the card.

6. Use a pencil to sketch the numbers onto the journaling block to use as a guideline. I recommend practice placing all the Dew Drops to form the word before attaching them with glue. After adhering the Dew Drops, carefully erase any visible pencil guidelines.
(TIP: To avoid disappointment, carefully plan to center the year making sure to be aware that thin numbers require less space. Note that the middle of the word may not be accurate by finding the center character because certain letters/numbers are wider and take up more space such as M or W)
