Hi All,
This month we are working with the Christmas Collection...and I guess when it comes to Christmas, I tend to go a little bit off the hinges with excitement....
I love it....it's the best time of year!
I'm still dreaming of my white Christmas though...
Hhhhhmmmm.....maybe it will happen this year..?!?.
So in anxious anticipation...I used some wooden pieces that I had bought a while ago and tried to create a Christmas scene, which I thought would make the perfect decorative piece for my corner table...
I covered the base with the White Glitter Cardstock and trimmed the edge with red velvet ribbon.
For the Christmas tree, I used the Black and White Pinetree Glitter Cardstock and edged with silver glitter. I added some silver braid together with Christmas Tree Tear Drops and other dew drops to give the illusion of Christmas lights on the tree. Next, I added jingle bells to the edge of the branches and finished off by adding a star cut from the Red Classic Swirl Glitter Cardstock and dotted on the ends with sliver glitter.
The sleigh was covered with the Cindy Lou Swirl Glitter Cardstock....(I do love the colour of this paper)....and edged with silver glitter.
I used a mini wreath shape to house the candle. This was covered with the Red Classic Swirl Glitter Cardstock and finished off with silver glitter. The candle was wrapped with green ribbon and placed on the mini wreath.
Poinsettias were cut using the Red Snowflake Cardstock and the leaves from the Hunter Green with Gold Glitter Cardstock. I added some gold and Poinsettia dew drops to the centres of the flowers and edged with glitter. I really loved the way these flowers turned out....
Some wrapped parcels were added for effect and star confetti was sprinkled over the scene.
I thoroughly enjoyed doing this project....and I thank you for taking the time to check it out...
We'd love to see you at The Robin's Nest....so do come and visit with us...
Have a great day!
Great for the kids to leave Santa some cookies and milk.
