Chattering Robins: Pure Joy

On this past 4th of July we went to see some fireworks at a friend house. This was the fist time that Catherine would be able to see them without being a tiny baby. She loved watching them whiz up and go "bang", but most of all she loved playing with all the kids. I got this picture just before the night fell upon us as she was sitting in Daddy's lap looking as happy as can be, some of the best moments you could ask for!!

I first took the wonderful Wedding Swirl Glitter cardstock and applied Brushed Corduroy Ranger Ink with the foam applicator all around the edges of the paper. I applied the ink tot the paper as if the paper were a resist paper, which it does act as such. The glitter sections resist the ink bringing out the swirls in their shining glory!! I then added in lines of ink in coordinating colors with the other papers by taking the applicator from the mists bottles and using the straw end "drawing" on the paper in blue, red, yellow, and brown.

Above you can see a cut out section of the Lodge paper, I used one strip of script seen above and also a tag tucked in just above the picture.

Here you can see some of the beautiful section of Robin's Nest papers I used in the layers below the picture. Here you can see Tulip Wheels and Daisy Stripe. You can also see some of the beautiful Dew Drops framing the layers.

Above you can see sections of the Tulip Wheels and Daisy Stripe cardstock and also a section of the Classic Roses Cardstock. I distressed the edges of all the papers and inked them with brown ink. Can you see the little tag from the Lodge Cut Out Cardstock popping out of the top? You can also see the Dew Drops in blues and golds I used along the sides of the layers.

Here is a last little peak of a ticket from the Lodge Cutouts Cardstock and a strips of the Classes Roses and Daisy Stripes papers all in a little cluster with some lace and burlap and of course a beautiful flower to top it all off.

I love these cute little moments caught off guard of my family enjoying the day with friends watching beautiful fireworks fill the sky. Life really can be filled with Pure Joy!!
