Precious Moments

Hi everyone,

There are some moments in life that just warm the heart...

Watching my daughter filled with joy as she ran about in the park trying to catch the birds, is one of those moments that will stay with me forever...
And being the type of person who always carries a camera,  I had to capture the moment...l basically took a whole lot of photos....

I selected one of the photos from the bunch that I had taken, for this month's floral theme....I loved the lilacs and lavenders in the background....and attempt to share a glimpse of one of my precious moments through this layout...

The Admiral Daisy Glitter Linen Cardstock from The Robin's Nest was the obvious choice for the background...it just fit perfectly...

I first used distress ink through a stencil and then added diamond sparkle medium to add some sparkling texture to the page. I used the Pink Glitter Cardstock to mat the photo and added lace, ribbon and tags cut from left over Pink, Moss Green and Lilac Glitter Cardstock to create some layers.

I then tore and distressed the Spring Flowers Glitter Cardstock to form a layer over the top of my photo.

The 'Precious' part of the title was a chipboard piece that I had in my stash. I coloured it with distress ink and then embossed it multiple times with clear embossing powder to create a raised effect.

The petals of the large flower was created by cutting, distressing and layering the Pink Glitter Cardstockwhile the leaves were created from  from the Moss Green Glitter Cardstock. The flower was finished off with a black dew drop for the centre and stickles to add some glitter to the petals

I cut the flowers left over on the Spring Flowers Glitter Cardstock to use as embellishments on the page and used an assortment of dew drops  to adorn the centre of each flower ...I do love those dew drops.....
The butterflies and bees from the Butterfly sticker sheet was added as the final touch.

I thoroughly enjoyed creating this piece....the products are great to work with and those dew drops definitely adds that something 'special' to your work....so be sure to check it out!

Thanks for stopping by.....

  6. absolutely beautiful! So feminine! It must be wonderful to have a daughter to scrap. I have 2 sons and they are now nearly grown so it's nearly always boy pages unless I am doing something about my Mom or myself.
