A WEDDING BOOK...

I am so excited to be part of The Robin's Nest Design Team!  This is my first official post!

I am part of the "Altered Team", so I altered a wood book box.  I made it a "Wedding Book Box".  I decorated the box with the "Wedding (in Love) Collection" and "Our Famous Glitter Cardstock".  The Wedding papers are soooo beautiful!  The glitter cardstock is such a wonderful compliment to any of The Robin's Nest lines.
The finishing touch was the "Silver Bells Dew Drops".
I covered the front cover, spine and back cover with
Silver on Creme Classic Swirl Glitter Cardstock, using gel medium to adhere it.  While it was drying I die cut Dark Vanilla Silver Glitter Cardstock into a flourish.  I cut an image of wedding rings from the Wedding Cut-Outs Cardstock and die cut it with an ornate frame die.  I cut a  1" x 12" strip of the White Glitter Cardstock and scored it every 1/4" and made a rosette.
When the outside of the box was dry, I added the pearl Dew Drops.  I went all around the outside edge on the front cover.  When they were dry and secure, I added the flourish, the butterfly, the rosette with a bow and button, gauze and flowers with more ribbons.  I placed the diecut rings in the center with foam squares.

I painted the "Pages" of the book box with an ivory paint (so it looks like paper) and put a coat of glitter on top for a little sparkle.  The outer edges were painted silver to match the theme of the papers.  Inside of the cover I adhered Silver Glitter Cardstock first and added the "Love" part of wedding words glitter vellum paper.

Inside the box I cut more of the Wedding Die-Cuts Cardstock and put the sayings inside the box.  How sweet would it be to pull one out every day and leave it somewhere for your spouse to find?
