Patriotic Mosaic Planters Pot

Hi, Michelle here with a fun summer project you can do in a day!

Independence Day is soon approaching, so I thought to make something to brighten up our kitchen.
I thought after I fill the bottom with beans or rice, I could place some flags and some festive decorations!
I used a plain paper mache medium pot from the craft store.

Next I gave it two coats of white acrylic paint.
I then painted the inside a pretty teal and the pots rim with red paint.

I cut the Glitter Awning and Teal Glitter into 1" strips, then triangles.
I adhered the triangles onto the pot with a glue sealer.
Next I cut the Glitter Red Rope also into 1" strips and then carefully cut in between the glittered designs. I glued these in place with the glue sealer.
When done, I coated the entire pot, inside and out with the glue sealer.
While the pot was still tacky from the glue coating, I added dots of a embellishment glue and added the Indigo Diamond Dew Drops.
I actually made two of these pots. One for me and one for a friend.
Think she will like it?

Here are the Materials I used:
Glitter Red Rope

Thanks for coming by and happy creating!
