Patriotic Dew Drop Candy Dish

Hello again!  Tara here, I am really excited to be posting today.  As some of you may know we are an Army Military family and with July just a few days away we have started pulling out the patriotic themed items and putting them on display. 

 I found this cute star shaped candy dish at the Dollar store not to long ago and I fell in love with it, as I do love star things.  It was just a plain clear glass dish.  I thought it would be a lot of fun to make it a craft project.



I went to my craft room and got to work.  I love love love dew drops and thought I would do something to match a craft I made about this time last year, a dew drop American Flag. I did a line around the top, middle, and bottom one each of the red, white and blue dew drops.  I liked this but it still seemed to need a little more..... so I flipped it over to the bottom and traced the outline of the star in dew drops alternating through the red, white and blue again and this really completed the candy dish for me!
 I am pretty happy with the results of the finished project, and my kids are just excited I put candy in a candy dish on display in our home.

 

Here are a couple pictures of the project I did last year and this new candy dish project I made this year.  These both look so cute on display in our home.
