Friends

I had lots of fun with the challenge of all these layers on this layout.  Some embellishments were on top of others at the same time as being underneath other embellishments.  It’s like putting together a puzzle, for instance, the chevrons on the right.  They are on top of the tags but under the photo.

The shipping tags are exact replicas of the same ones you get at staples, but I used Robin’s Nest fun Blue Glitter Elephant paper for the tags and the Red Lion cardstock for the hole enforcers.  To help the tags ‘pop’ a bit, I sanded the edges.  Due to the fact that the cardstock has a white core, sanding the edges gave a slight white edge.

I alternated chevron shapes made out of Chocolate GlitteredLeopard Cardstock and Red Lion Cardstock.  With the Red Lion cardstock, I used both sides making use of the different sides of each piece of cardstock.

For the swirl, I hand drew a simple swirl, traced the swirl with Liquid Glass liquid adhesive and added Pearl Dew Drops to the glued line.  I simply added Jade Diamond Shaped Dew Drops to the bottom of the elephant tag, then placed a Pearl Dew Drop in between each Jade Diamond Dew Drop.

I don’t play with my Cameo Silhouette much so when I do, I’m amazed at the simplest things.  I made the title ‘friends’ from the Chocolate Glittered Leopard Cardstock and used the backside of it so it would stand out more.

Again, using my Cameo Silhouette, I created the Moroccan background pattern with the Red Lion cardstock.
