Art Canvas - Galaxy

Hello Crafty People!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I'm grateful that you're here for another amazing ART CANVAS project.

There are SO many NEW art canvas designs available by Robin's Nest.

Pleasae, be patient while they update.   Comment here and ask your questions.

I have been doing ART CANVAS LIVE videos for over a year. I've learned so much.  Technology is not my friend. Irish Proverbs are real. Whatever can go wrong, will. (Murphey's Law)

Let's get CRAFTY!

++++++++++

Supplies:
  • Art Canvas - Robin's Nest
  • Color Burst - Ken Oliver. (Peony, Naples Yellow, Prussian Blue, Wisteria, Violet, Ultramarine Blue, Lemon, and Alizarin Crimson)
  • Perfect Pearls Irridescent Green - Ranger Ink. **  see notes at the end.
  • Pure Satin Mica Powder - Sakura
  • Miscellaneous: Rubbing alcohol, cotton balls, brushes and rags for cleaning.
Instructions:
  1. Prepare separate mixing cups for all 7 colors required. Put the pigments into the cups, add rubbing alcohol and mix. **
  2. Apply the alcohol pigments* to the entire canvas. Begin with lighter colors and graduate outward with the darker blues and purples.
  3. If desired, pat excess liquid with a clean cloth or cotton balls as explained in the video.
  4. Using a paint brush, dip into dry pigments (perfect pearls) or mica powder by Sakura. Thump the brush to release splatters of white pigment.
** I wanted to be sure to include the Perfect Pearls, even though it didn't give the"star" effect I was looking for, the translucent shimmer on the final project is remarkable!

       5. Let dry. Add more pigment splatters if desired. Spray with sealant.

**THIS POST WILL BE UPDATED TOMORROW

Thanks for stopping by the blog tonight!
Craft on!
