Create an Easy and Elegant Gift Set (with bonus recipe!)

I love Friendship Wraps for easy gift wrapping that can be completely personalized.  With Valentine's Day right around the corner, what better way to say "Be Mine" than with a handmade treat box filled with homemade chocolate treats (recipe / instructions at the end of this post for chocolate clusters!) Along with a cute matching card. The great colors, patterns and textures of The Robins Nest products give even the simplest design a real WOW factor!

I start every project the same, once I decide on a color scheme and theme, I go through my stash and pile up everything I might use....

For this project, I used:

Special Tools:
Banner Punch
Butterfly Punch

Let's get busy!

Trim your Wedding Cut Outs Cardstock to fit JUST inside the panels of your Friendship Wrap (you want some of that lovely purple showing around your patterned paper!) ink edges of paper in black and adhere to your Friendship Wrap.

Assemble Friendship Wrap and glue flaps in place.

I created a mini banner with Purple Flower Cardstock and punched a butterfly from the same paper.  I attached my banner using some dimensional glue on top the Silver Straw and highlight with Dew Drops.

Once I finished my treat box, I decided to make a coordinating card with the left over cardstock.

A white cardstock base and 2 mats using the Wedding Cut Outs Cardstock and Purple Flower Cardstock - I then punched butterflies from the Purple Flower Cardstock and sewed a seam down the center for interest (no sewing machine? Make faux stitches with a black pen!)

And as promised, the easiest directions for making PERFECT home made nut clusters! Tastier and cheaper than anything store bought!

You will need:
1 Can of Mixed Nuts
1 Bag Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
1 Lg Dark Chocolate Bar (63% or Higher)
Some White Chocolate Chips or Candy Melts (just a handful)

-Break up candy bar and put in bowl with chocolate chips. Microwave in 30 sec intervals (I mean it!  Don't "break" the chocolate!) until melted
-Mix in can of mixed nuts
-drop by the spoonful onto parchment lined cookie sheets
-Melt white chocolate chips in microwave in 30 sec intervals
-Swish a fork into white chocolate chips and then "flick" white chocolate over your nut clusters
-refrigerate until firm

Thanks for stopping by the blog today!  Have a creative weekend!!
