Today I am going to show you how to make origami flowers in 9 easy steps. The flower I will be making is called Kusudama, I've always been interested by paper folding and thought it would be good to share a tutorial with you all.
Items used
We are currently collaborating with Scraperfect during our DT term, so I have some of their goodies to play with, in this tutorial I will be using their Best glue ever.
Instructions
The flowers can be made in various sizes but you always need square paper, I used 3x3 inch.
Fold the paper diagonally to create a triangle
Fold the outer edges in to the centre
Now fold the inner folds to the outer edges
Open out the folds and flatten, it should look like you have 2 kites with a diamond between them
Fold the tips down
Fold along the creases
Bring the edges together and glue to create your first petal.
Each flower needs 5 petals, this is how they look when glued together.
Here I have stuck 6 flowers together and added circles of card to the centre of all the flowers
Here's a red version with black centres.
I think these will make lovely table decorations for Valentines day.
Thank you so much so stopping by today, if you'd like to see more of my work then please pop over to my blog www.terrikoszler.blogspot.com
I love making these flowers and yours are so bright and beautiful.
