"Sea Glass" Flip Flops

Summer is fast upon us....need a cute teacher gift, birthday gift or maybe just something cute for your own feet?

Well, here ya go....

I love when I can create something really beautiful, quickly and on a budget!  And this project is all that!

What you need:

• Flip Flops (from big box craft store - $2.99 BEFORE coupon)
• Robin's Nest Dew Drops, Mini Dew Drops, Tear Drops andDiamonds - - any color / any mix
• A good, clear drying, permanent adhesive (I am using E6000 available at your big box craft store)
• Stiff paint brush
• Tweezers

Step 1:  Gather all of the Dew Drops,  Mini Dew Drops, Tear Drops and Diamonds you own, and pour a small amount of each into a bowl -- mix them up!

Step 2:  Apply a small glob of adhesive to band of flip flop and spread using your stiff paint brush.

Step 3:  Apply Dew Drops selected randomly from your mixed dish and apply to band using tweezers or fingers (I find it easier to use my fingers - - always have wet wipes handy, though!)

Designer tip:  To get the effect of sea glass, do not apply your dew drops flat -- push them up against each other, with some being adhered on their side...it makes a beautiful textured effect!

Picture this:  Your beautiful sea glass flip flops packaged with a bottle of sunscreen and a beach towel inside a sand bucket with shovel - - and then add that fabulous sunglasses shaped card Colleen showed us yesterday - summer gift perfection!
