Welcome Back Robin's Nest Readers!
Recently, I showed you an Art Journal that I started for my son using the pics from his phone.
Continuing with this book, I am showing you some more pages.
These are in a 40 page Mixed Media book. I like the grungy style of the book.
Jordan has a great artistic eye. This is a picture of one of his dogs: Staley.
To offset the puppy pic, I used our Black and White Paw Cardstock and inked around the edge for more depth.
I have to say that I use glitter on boy projects all of the time. Glitter can be masculine too.
Here I made a cluster using our Animal Ribbon, Gold Glitter Chipboard, and the stars and straw from the Leafy Green Straw packet. I adhered these with The Best Glue Ever.
To bring the page together, I added 5 gold dew drops from our Goldenberry Dew Drop mix. I love handwriting notes (even though I really have a complex about my writing), so I wrote "Staley" with a fine point Sharpie, and some added doodles.
What do you think of this picture? It was from his vacation trip to Oregon. I added fishnet then stapled the photo on top of the fishnet.
Since it is a water page, I added Bubbles Mini Dew Drops so that it forms bubbles in the fishnet and the side of the page.
Another close-up.
I cut out part of an Orange Journal, inked it, and journaled the location of the picture. I also added mini paper clips to add more dimension.
This photo totally explains why his truck is broke down all of the time. Our stickers are wonderful for so many reasons. One being the tags that you can make like a file, or reference page. I stuck them together and wrote "mudding" on them. This one is from the School Sticker, the round stickers at the bottom are from this same sticker.
I added a Leafy Green Card, the weather card and then adhered "Enjoy" from the Azure Die Cut Set. Mini Green Dew Drops are added to the bottom of the stickers for the "pop" on the page.
I cut the background strip and the mini banner from the Black Thermal Animal Cardstock.
This is a photo of his shoes flying off of the roof. I have no explanation as to why he would do this, but the picture is a good still-action photo. I cut out the Letters Cardstock into the shape of a mountain to accent the mountains in the background in the picture.
I cut a 1/4" strip of white cardstock so that I could journal something. Stapling it down for the grunge effect. The clown clippie is from our Birthday Boy Clippie Set. It slides onto the photo without having to add adhesive. So fun to add to a page.
And of course, the journaling of the adventure.
I hope that this has inspired you to scrap some of your young adults phone adventures. Jordan has given me his stamp of approval so far.
Until next time,
Happy Crafting!
