Hello Robin's Nest readers!
I'm back for a few weeks.
My husband and I have been working on a new
adventure, so have been gone for 2 months.
I had my posts done for the 2 months, but had a
few hiccups.
In the middle of our 2 months,
our youngest daughter, Jessiciah delivered her
first baby, a boy, of course you will see Jack in the future,
while I was visiting/helping her my father passed
away. He wasn't doing well when we left,
and I spent my last week in Utah with him 24/7.
Rachel graciously took on one day a week for a month
to care for him, in my place, while I was gone.
I am very grateful to her for her wonderful service
and love in caring for my father.
My project this week is our clamming adventure in Alaska when
we were visiting our kids there.
They are now living in South Carolina,
but these memories are the greatest.
We drove 4 hours to get to the part of the state where
Clam Gulch is, and beautiful every where
we drove. What an amazing state Alaska is!
We woke up very early, 5 am to drive an hour to Clam Gulch
to get there when the tide was low, and we
could start digging for clams.
I chose the Blue Rasberry Sorbet for today's projects.
I also used Beach Sticker,
Beach rub on,
Clams from our digging,
mini dew drops,
and the seahorse glitter chipboard die cut.
I brought my trusty plastic poke a dot boots along
for this adventure.
Here Dana and I are, in our long sleeves,
it was a bit chilly in August,
and our boots for digging clams.
It looks like it was only us,
But our kids were the drivers and
tour guides, they will be in next weeks
post.
Maybe I am wrong, we might have gotten
up at 4am, this sunrise was so fun,
and to be there, just us on the beach
digging was so spectacular!
In all of these layouts
I chose the same paper,
It just seemed so fitting,
and I was on fast scrapping,
as I am so very far behind!
This layout is just as simple as they get,
but that was my intention.
I wanted to focus only on the sand,
mountains and sky.
It is so fun to look over these photos
and again bring back those great
memories of digging at clam gulch.
