Birthday Wishes with the Fleur Collection

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today playing with some amazing Robin's Nest papers.  This month we are working with the Fleur Collection.  These papers come in lovely shades of orange, yellow, blue, purple and more.

I used the Autumn Fleur paper.  This linen type paper is double sided with stripes on one side and a subtle fleur/text print on the other side.  It is so easy to use both sides to create amazing cards because the colors and designs perfectly coordinate.

I used the striped side for the base of the card, matting it with black cardstock.  The second layer uses the fleur side and it was also matted with black cardstock.  The third layer uses a portion of the  fleur/text as the central image.   It was also matted with black cardstock.

I stamped a sentiment in black ink on a left over scrap, matted it with black cardstock and wrapped it with twine before adding it to the card.

This card uses the Plum Fleur paper.

I used the striped paper for the base of the card, then fussy cut around the image for the second layer.  I wanted to keep the focus on the paper so I tied some sheer ribbon around the panel before adhering it to the card.

Happy Birthday was stamped on white cardstock, matted with the striped paper and tied to the ribbon with some twine.

This collection is lovely.  There is so much you can do with these papers.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Steph
