Summer Fun

Hello, it's Joan, with my first August post for The Robin's Nest. Our theme for August is flowers. This scrapbook page features my great-niece, Aria, wearing her favorite flowered dress. I love The Robin's Nest papers I used on this page!

I made this layout 12" x 12", using the Ocean glittered cardstock for the base. I began building up layers, using a piece of white cardstock and a piece of the Distressed Lavender paper. Next, I cut a piece of the Teal glittered cardstock for a background on which to add my photo and embellishments.

I cut a mat for my photo from the Purple Flower paper and pop dotted the photo to add dimension. A piece of the Spring Flowers Glitter Cardstock was cut and added horizontally to the page, then the photo was layered on top.

I placed the sun sticker on a small white doily and then pop dotted it to the teal cardstock, slightly overlapping the photo.

Next, I tucked a large doily behind the Purple Flowers photo mat and Spring Flowers cardstock. A large butterfly sticker was pop dotted to the white doily.

A small white doily was placed behind the mats on the lower right side. I cut a small strip of flowers from the flower border stickers, pop dotted it to the page and added white dew drops to the centers of each flower. A small butterfly sticker was placed by the flowers. Finally, I added my title and chipboard words.
