Little Notes

Hello everyone Tara here, I am excited to be back again today and sharing another one of my fun projects with you all. Today I am sharing this cute little covered notepad and will be giving you simple instructions with measurements so you too can recreate these at home!!

I started with a simple 5x7 lined notepad, I only had the yellow ones kicking around my craft room but it worked perfect with The Robin's Nest, Daisy Stripe Teal cardstock.  I cut my paper to measure 8x11.  I then scored it at 4 7/8, 9 7/8, and 10 1/4.
Scoring at these points will allow you to fold the cardstock from the back around the front and create an inner pocket.

The second picture here shows the inner pocket, I ran a strip of glue across the very bottom and the edge of the cardstock to keep the pocket securely closed. (don't attach this to the notepad just yet...)  Next I added a small strip of cardstock across the top of the notepad to cover the blue where the brand name was showing, and to give this notepad a finished look. This piece is 2 1/4 x 5 and scored at 7/8 and 1 1/8. This allows you to wrap it up over the top.

Here is a picture showing the back where the two pieces of cardstock are attached the the notepad. I recommend adhering the small piece of cardstock over the top first so that the larger one then covers it and it looks more complete. I also punched two holes in the back and ran ribbon through them and wrapped it up around the top to keep the notepad closed tightly.

Here is another picture of the front, showing the ribbon tied in a nice bow.  I added a few flowers using tear drops and a small dew drop in the center of each one.  I love the added touch these gave.  I plan to attach a pen and give these to a few of my friends as a little gift.
Thanks so much for checking things out today.  Until next time!
Happy Crafting!!
Tara
