Faerie ATC's

I am hosting my first "Faerie Garden Swap" this month and along with the miniatures we are swapping, I've asked everyone to make ATC's too.

ATC's or Artist Trading Cards- they are 2.5" X 3.5".
The same as any baseball or other trading cards.
What I love about ATC's, is they take up very little room and are just as delightful to look at as full sized cards.
You can read more about them here.

These are the cards I will be swapping with my Faerie Garden Miniatures.
 I used the following materials....
Write Glitter Cardstock
Gold Classic Glitter Swirl Cardstock
Metallic Dew Drops
Blue Green Dew Drops
Assorted vintage female clip art, butterfly images, paper trimmer with a ruler, scissors, adhesive and something to write your swap info.
Using the ruler guide on your paper trimmer, cut your papers to be 2.5" X 3.5". Do as many as you need for your swap. I like to make extras to swap at rubber stamp conventions and creative gatherings.
My butterfly's are actually cut from hand made wrapping paper from a independent art supply store.
By cutting one butterfly in half you now have a set of wings for your faerie!
Glue your wings to your trimmed out female clipart. I purposely sorted through my stash looking for mostly 'side view' images so I could just use one wing. Try to squeeze them, wing and all onto your card. Trim off any over hanging clip art,

Add your dew drops then your card and info on the back.
You can use free print outs from the web, rubber stamps or just write your own.
You always want to include the following with your ATC:
  • The name of the swap
  • Date
  • your name
  • Blog or email address
  • Series number...1 of 10, 2 of 10, 3 of 10....
  • optional- your city/state.

Hope you enjoyed my craft, thanks for coming by!
