Happy Quirky Spring Tag

Hi all! Aimée here again with March's project. I was obviously in a quirky mood when creating this funky piece. This month we are using products from the Easter and Spring collection as well as cross promoting with Altered Pages.

So I started out with a large blank tag and created a simple Spring background using chalk inks all over the card.

Love how soft and pretty these inks are.

Next I cut out the Altered Pages images I wanted to use in this piece.

I wanted a bigger head on a smaller body.

I then glued them onto the card where I wanted them. Added some of the Spring Stickers for some interest and then outlined her dress shape.

I then cut out the dress shape in the Spring Stripe cardstock and glued it down.

I added some white gesso to the dress and some on the image itself to blend them better then outlined using a charcoal pencil. I then smudged the pencil with a blending stump.

Next I picked a leaf stencil and sprayed on Heidi Swapp gold spray.

Next came 3 drops of Liquitex acrylic ink.

I then sprayed a few times with my spray bottle of water.

I held it upright so the ink would run and then let it dry flat.

Then I used a white Pitt Pen to draw a white outline around her and the lines on the side for some movement.

I felt like it needed an extra pop of color so I used the turquoise chalk ink in places.

I then used my favorite journaling pen to add in some other details.

I used 4 dew drops to add some bling.

Even more pen details, a little more gesso on the bottom. 3D tabs underneath the Kiwi Sorbet paper.

It needed even more color to me so I used a stencil with some fluorescent red acrylic paint.

Next came some fun alphabet stickers and glue over the top.

I then cut out the cute little bunny from the Bunny Cardstock in the Easter Collection and put a 3D tab under it. I also trimmed around her head and bent it up a bit.

I found some knitting yarn in my stash and tied it to the hole in the top.

Then added a brad to complete it. It's now ready to hang around and make you smile!

Hope you enjoyed this piece.

xoxo
