Keys to the Past Keepsake Book

This month's special, the Regency Collection, is full of rich colors and elegant papers and accessories. And since Keepsake Books are so popular, this line coordinated very well with that type of project. So here I am today (Ro from Toodle Noodle Creative!) to share my book with you.

Rather than reinventing the wheel, I am not including the step by step directions on the making of this book. There are plenty of guides and videos out there. The one I used for my basic layout is located on YouTube at My Sister's Scrapper. There are several videos in the series and they are very easy to follow. Here's mine:

I wanted a smaller size than the one in the video, so I only used three bags and adjusted my measurements for the "hinges" accordingly.

Inside Cover and First Page

Inside cover and first page with flap opened. Tag on left comes out for photos or journaling.
The tag on the right can also be used for photos or journaling.
Inside each bag you can either add a photo/journal page to slide in or out, or some small memorabilia
such as ticket stubs, cards, pressed flowers, etc.

This is the next page. Again the tag is removable for photos or journaling (both sides).
There is room for a photo and caption on the flap.

The flap opened. Plenty of room for photos and journaling, and whatever you would like to place in the bag itself.

The next page. Removable tag for photos/journaling. The tag on the pocket can be written on with a permanent marker or rub-on lettering or stickers.

Opened up, more room for photos, journaling, and other ephemera in the bag.

This is the last pocket and inside back cover. 

The beautiful pink and peach keys and locks throughout this keepsake book were cut with a thin die from Heartfelt Creations, with whom we are cross-promoting this month. These wafer thin dies cut wonderfully and can be used in any hand cranked machine such as the Cuttlebug, Sizzix, etc. The intricate details in these keys and locks are very impressive. I hope you will check them out. There are lots and lots of dies and stamps from which to choose.
