If my words had wings......

Hi everyone, Steph here today and I am so excited to be sharing my first post as a design team member for the Robin's Nest. 

I was thrilled to receive so many awesome products from the Robin's Nest as well as some awesome chipboard elements from Gina's Designs, with whom we are teaming up this month.  This month we are working  with the Robin's Nest collection -  Wild About U.

I created a 5 1/2" square gate fold card from black cardstock.  Using both sides of  the Classic Roses pattern paper I used the striped side first, then placed the rose side on top, placing black cardstock between the layers.

Gina's Designs has some wonderful chipboard and lace pieces.  I used a lace doily, adding it to the reverse side of the Red Glitter Swirl then adhered it to the left side of the card.

I colored the butterfly with assorted colors of inks, then heat set with clear embossing powder.  Didn't it turn out divine?

The inked and embossed butterfly was added to a chipboard circle, and then placed in the center of the doily.  I used Tear  Drops for the body of the butterfly, then  Sun Yellow Dew Drops on the wings.

For the interior I used the Red Classic Glitter Swirl paper, then added a sentiment on white and black cardstock.
