Butterfly Card

 Hi Everyone!
Michelle here with a pretty Butterfly card tutorial to share.
Materials and tools used:
The Robins Nest Ocean Blue Glittered Cardstock and Parisian Mini Dew Drops
Tonic Studios Celtic Circle Die and Butterfly Strip Punch
White cardstock, thin pink washi tape, tombo glue, embellie gelli, SU Sizzix Butterfly Die, a Big Shot or Cuttlebug.
So first I'm going to show you how to use the Butterfly strip punch. In the photo above on the left, you can see a dotted line on the punch. Place your paper into the punch, lining up along that dotted line.
Push the lever and you will see your first punched design. Line that open punched design onto the left side of the punch. Make sure your butterflies are lined up.
Now after you have pushed the punch lever and removed the paper, you'll see two separate designs.
This is great for individual tags and small projects but if you want a continuous line of punched butterfly's, You'll need to carefully review the next couple of steps. In the above photo. do you see the partial butterfly? Just past the dotted line? I have my stick on it.
You will want to line up your first punched design onto that butterfly. Even if it means placing most of the design back under the punch. After you are lined up, pull the punch and see your results! For the rest of the strip, you only need to line up the next set of butterfly with full template on the left, just as I did the second time I punched.
Not only will you get a border of butterfly's, but a scalloped border and lots of lovely mini butterfly's!

I layered the white carstock and Ocean Blue Glittered paper for the front of the card. Then I ran some white cardstock through my bigshot with the Celtic Circle Die. I made a butterfly from the Ocean Blue Glittered paper with the sizzix die and accented the butterfly with dew drops and mini butterfly's from the Butterfly strip punch.
The Embellie Gelli made applying the teeny tiny butterflys a breeze.

I placed a strip of the blue paper inside the card and added the punched butterfly border.
I think this will make a nice Birthday card for a friend. :)
Thanks for coming by!
