An Inspiration Mask! and a Couple of Halloween Greetings

The Robin's Nest is having a Masquerade Contest!!!
October 15 - November 15
Hope you join us...
here is my inspiration piece!

My paper mask is made with The Robin's Nest products:

Here is a close up of the left eye, you can see the lashes are raised.

The right is embellished with random green, purple and blue Dew Drop Diamond Shapes.

The Dew Drop Diamond Shapes were a perfect fit for the beak on this pattern template.

The mask is ready to wear, just add ribbon.!

For a template I searched the web... there are a lot of mask templates to choose from. I found this one at SkipToMyLou

HOW TO MAKE THE FEATHERS

  1. Supplies: paper, chenille pipe cleaner, blue ink and glue stick.
  2. Cut two pieces of 6 x 2 inch pieces of cardstock.
  3. Apply glue stick to the back of both pieces of cardstock.
  4. Put a 4 inch chenille pipe cleaner in the middle of one piece of cardstock.
  5. Press the other piece of cardstock over the chenille pipe cleaner.
  6. Cut in the shape of a feather
  7. Cut the fringe of the feather, being careful not to cut through the chenille pipe cleaner.
  8. From the base of the feather lightly ink.
  9. Attach to your mask with quick dry glue
  10. Once dry arrange the feathers
