She Got Wings
by Terri Sproul
What a Fun project this was, While at the National Scrapbook Day event with the Robin Nest in San Diego this year. I made this fun doll.
Directions and Supplies:
Belgian Chocolate Glitter - her skirt
Vanilla Glitter Fleur - her top
Embrace Life Cardstock - her wings
Mini and large Dew Drop - can't make a project without Dew Drops
I started with a paper mache doll - I paint her with Dark Blue Acrylic paint, set aside to dry. While that was drying I started to punch out LOTS of littler flowers use a Daisy punch from the Vanilla Glitter Fleur. Then I used my Banner Die cuts from LifeStyle Crafts
For the Wings I used a Leave punch and the Embrace Life cardstock, I layer the leaves one on top of the other to form the look of a wing. it's turn out better then i hoped. Love then that happens...
At this point it as all about putting her together. I started with the bottom of the shirt, adding layer as I went up, After that I start to add the flower to form a top for her dress. Before I finished the back of the top, i add the wings, and then covered over the wing where i added them with more flowers. At this point it was all about the Dew Drops - I add as many as I thought it need to the center of the daisy. Love the way she turned out.
