find a beautiful place and get lost

Hey there everyone! Genevive here to share with you my first post for my second term. Thank you Robin's Nest for still making me part of your team!

I bet you are all enjoying the Safari mood that has been going on in this blog. I am too!  Look how I made a layout using the very pretty Creme Glitter Animal Print  and the really cool Black and White Animal Print papers inspired by this image from my Pinterest Boards (follow me!) ...

I find this gold, black and pink room so classy and elegant... I may not want my room to be like this but I felt it could be a great inspiration for a layout using Robin's nest animal print collection and the pink dewdrops. The cardstock doileys from Gina Designs are just right to add a little bit more layer and dimension.

I chose this photo taken by hubby when we went to Palawan Beach Sentosa for a staycation. At this moment I was just staring at the horizon, killing time, forgetting all the cares I may have had in that moment. For a moment I was lost in a good kind of way haha!

So, placing the photo on a white cardstock, I started to cut strips of creme glitter animal print papers and placed one on top and one at the bottom. Layered two small triangle pieces over them, added the doiley, a small pink tag and another strip of paper from a book page. Machine stitched to and fro. I painted the doiley with clear crackle paint and let it dry. Added my precious pink dew drops and some sequins to keep them company :)

I also added a few more paper triangles, and washi tapes here and there.. some staple wires for an interesting texture.. and more machine stitching. Wrote my thoughts and added the title.

Go search inspirations from Pinterest and translate it to a layout or a card or whatever project you have been thinking of doing! Share it with me in my blog and I'd be happy to drop by and leave some love.. And then, pls know that the paper I used in this layout are ON SALE now! Go grab them! Okay.. till we meet again. Ciao! :)
