I hope you like 'em!
Dew Drops make outstanding flower centers, as I hope you'll see on these cards.
These are pretty quick cards but I love the way they turned out.
Grab yourself a nice bold floral stamp and cover some white card stock with the stamped image.
I used a stamp set from Simon Hurley and Jet Black Archival Ink.
Now stamp that same flower onto more card stock. Watercolor (or color using your favorite method), and cut out. This stamp set has a couple of different sizes of flowers and leaves, so I stamped and colored a variety of sizes.
Cut a colored panel for your card.
This will go under the floral stamped panel.
Layer both panels onto your card base.
Stamp your sentiment onto white card stock.
Get your Dew Drops ready.
Arrange your flowers onto the card front however you like.
I used foam tape to pop up the foremost flower.
Use your favorite adhesive and arrange Dew Drops in the center of your foremost flower.
Scatter a few Dew Drops around the card front, and add some clear sequins, too.
Trim around your sentiment,
mat it with the same card stock as the colored panel on your card,
and place it on the card.
Supplies:
- Card base
- Colored card stock
- White card stock
- Adhesive & foam tape
- Dew Drops
- Clear sequins
- Bold floral stamp
- Waterproof black ink (I like Archival Ink)
- Watercolors or other coloring medium
I love this technique to create floral backgrounds. I works beautifully every time. So pretty!
