How to Embellish a Layout with Tear Drops

Hello Robin's Nest Fans,
My name is Karen and this is my first project for the Robin's Nest Design Team.  I am thrilled to share with you my fun "Summer-time" layout and show you how I embellished it with Tear Drops.  If you have photos of children eating watermelon, then this idea is perfect for you.  Here is my niece Audrey modeling her Cabbage Patch Kid hat that was crocheted by her other Aunt.  I must warn you now...cuteness overload ahead!
1.  Cut a stripe of coordinating paper 4x12" and adhere it horizontally near the top third of the layout. Add contrasting paper strips along the border edge.  Finally, add a strip of scalloped edge paper.

2. Add five photos in various sizes along the top strip. Overlap photos to create interest by subtly layering the images.  Adhere a chipboard frame over one of the photos to feature it prominently.

3. Frame and matte two photos and adhere them to the lower left corner.

4. Create some coordinating layered embellishments with stickers or stamped images.  Add an arrow, flag, and a metal word accent.

5. Finally, scatter some black tear drops randomly around the layout to look like actual watermelon seeds.
