Valentine Treat Box

Hello everyone! Jenn here today sharing my first project for 2019! I am sharing an adorable little treat box for Valentine's day using Dew Drops. This was originally a box that contained Christmas treats that has been recycled and repurposed!

First, I created a die cut heart and glued Dew Drops to it to create this embellishment. The Dew Drops used are the pinks from Orchid around the outside and the red minis from Ornament. Both can be found online at The Robin's Nest Online Store.

While allowing the heart embellishment to dry I scored and cut a piece of Valentine's themed paper from Graphic 45's Children's Hour collection to fit the box lid. This will vary according to the size of lid being used. Once scoring is done all corners were cut away as shown below.

Half inch score tape was adhered to all sides and top of the box lid.
Next the tape coating was removed and the paper adhered. Using a bone folder to ensure all areas were flat and smooth. All excess paper was then trimmed from underside of lid.

To complete the project adhere the heart using scrap cardboard to raise it up. Add other elements such as cut aways from the paper collection as I did.

Thanks so much for visiting the blog and viewing my post today! I hope that you are inspired to grab your supplies and create something beautiful too!
