Memories: A Mixed Media Canvas

Hello to all my crafty friends and Happy New Year!  I'm here on the Chattering Robins blog to show you how I made this adorable canvas using Dew Drops to give a final awesome touch.

I used most of the products in the above picture, but not the pink Dew Drops or the modeling paste.

I started by collaging old music pages and words and phrases onto a 5x7 canvas:

To push the collage back into the background, I scraped gesso onto the canvas, scribbled with the other end of a paint brush into the gesso, and dried it with my heat tool.

Then I scraped crackle pasted through a checkerboard stencil for more texture.  I let that air dry before moving on to the next steps.

I dribbles fluid acrylics on the canvas and sprayed them with water.  Then I spread them around with a paint brush.

For added interest, I flicked on some white, pink and Payne's Grey paint mixed with a bit of water.

I die cut the skirt, and stamped and colored the girl's top and legs, then fussy cut her out.  Then I glued her all down with craft glue.

I chose Grapes and Leaves Dew Drops and Black/White/Silver Dew Drops and glued them randomly around the canvas and under the girl's feet, like grass.

I drew on a necklace with a blue charm.

To make the skirt stand out against the background, I highlighted some areas with an orange marker.

I found a metal word, "memories" and glued it underneath the gal with strong adhesive.

For added shimmer, I painted the raised squares with a glitter pen.

Here are some close ups and the final piece!  Thanks for sticking with me until the end and I hope you like this canvas I created.
