Easy To Make "Merry" Tree Small Wall Art How To

Hello Crafty Friends!
Welcome to the Chattering Robin's Blog.

Michelle here today to share with you an easy way to make decorative small wall art.

The fun thing? ANY Christmas object will work for this project.
All you need is imagination, and some BEAUTIFUL Dew Drops from The Robin's Nest!

My Dew Drop Collection choices:

Additional Supplies Needed:
Small Canvas Board-I used a 5x5 for mine
Christmas Object Template or Stencil
Watercolor Pencil
"Pick Up" Tool
Christmas Stamp
Ink Pad
Ribbon or Chord
Crop-a-Dial or other such hole punch tool, setter & eyelets.
*If not, you can still make this an adorable hanging wall decor piece.

To begin, I used one coat of heavy white gesso over the surface of my canvas selection.
Once the gesso had dried, I traced a triangle tree cut in cardstock, onto the canvas using a light green watercolor pencil (so it would blend) as my template for gluing the
Mini Dew Drops into place.

Using the Best Glue Ever & the Embellie Gellie placement tool from ScraPerfect,
I began laying the Dew Drops in place, alternating green & red, adding a Metallic Gold Mini Dew Drop to the top of the tree, and some Amber color Mini Dew Drops
 for the tree trunk.

After the Mini Dew Drops had time to set, I used a Christmas Sentiment stamp, permanent  black ink, and stamped directly on the canvas, as I wanted all the "dimension to be from the Dew Drops, and not add anything else to the design.

I then used my Crop-A-Dial and punch holes in each upper corner, and set with silver eyelets. I did add a touch of glue for added security for hanging.
I double threaded silver elastic lightweight ribbon through the holes, just for a simple way to hang the canvas.

Final touch, I decided at last minute, was to add some Solid White Dew Drops, randomly around the Dew Drop Tree, as if it were falling snow.

This entire project took half an hour-45minutes to make, and would make a delightful gift for giving!
