Hello Crafty Friends!
Welcome to the Chattering Robin's Blog.
Michelle here today to share a quick, simple & adorable
card, perfect for any little ghouls at Halloween.
A little ghostly greeting card.
And using Dew Drops & Tear Drops from The Robin's Nest,
was the perfect embellishments for this project.
I wanted a small card for this project so I chose a
black textured 3x5 card.
My selections of Dew Drops & Tear Drops
came from the
Piano Tear Drop Collection
Black/White/Silver Dew Drops
For this project, I wanted great bonding action, as well as precision in placing the Dew Drops & Tear Drops, so I used ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever along with the No-Clog Writing Cap, as well as the Embellie Gellie.
I used my Cricut machine to cut adorable little ghosts in various shapes. I then applied each to black cardstock scraps using double sided tape, and then fussy cutting around the edge of the ghost, leaving a slight black edge.
Using glue, I lightly scribbled the glue around on each ghost, and then lightly sprinkled with ultra fine white glitter. I then used cursive alphabet stamps & Staz On in in Jet Black and stamped the word "BOO".
Following the same idea as the ghosts, I again used the glue with the tip, and traced the word, followed by a sprinkle of black ultra fine glitter.
Once the glitter had set, I used double sided foam squares, two per ghost & on the wording, and applied to the card.
I used Tear Drops in White only, to look like ghosts in the distance, and placed them randomly over the card front, using precise drops of glue, and allowing it to sit for a few seconds for a better tack to place the Drops.
I wanted a bit of a "bling" factor, what is more perfect than Silver Dew Drops, in both regular & mini size, alternated across the bottom of the front of the card, placing each with the Embellie Gellie.
Once everything had set, I ended up with this little gem. How cute would this be to hole punch and add a sucker too?
Perfect little treat greeting card.
