How To Make A Vintage Inspired Mini Canvas With Dew Drops

Hello , welcome to the
Chattering Robin's blog.

Michelle here today to share with you how I used Robin's Nest Dew Drops
to embellish a vintage inspired mini canvas for an art challenge.

Supplies used for this project:
5x7 canvas board
Resin Frame
Scrapbook Paper
Gesso
Texture Paste
Gel Medium
Stencil
Ephemera
Tattered Angel Glimmer Mist
Metal Embellishment
Button
Paper Flower
Lace Remnants
Thread

The Robin's Nest Dew Drops Collections:
GoldenBerry

Sunflower

To begin my mini canvas. I added a scrapbook paper remnant using gel medium, and lightly distressing the edges by pulling away the paper while damp.

I used a light layer of white gesso over the surface of the paper, then added texture paste with a stencil to the surface.

After the texture paste stencil had dried, I used Glimmer Mist for a pop of color.

I then adhered the resin frame using gel medium, and began layering the ephemera, button, metal embellishment, flower & lace flower remnants.

For finishing touches I lightly dry brush gesso over the entire surface and design, before permanently adding Robin's Nest Dew Drops to random areas of the design and canvas.

The Dew Drops added that perfect pop to this vintage inspired mini canvas.

Thank you for visiting today. While here, be sure to check out the design team galleries, to find the inspiration you are looking for your next creative project.
