Red Tear Drop Flowers Thank You Card

Happy Monday Crafty Friends,
I hope your week is off to a great start. Today I am sharing a cheerful card I created featuring some Tear Drops and Dew Drops.

Here’s a look at my completed card. I started with an A2 card size base of red cardstock. I then used a piece of white cardstock and some lovely patterned paper for mats.

Next I used my electronic die cutter to create and cut out the flower shapes. I cut them in plain white cardstock and then used my Copic markers to color in the stems with Green, the flower petals with Red and the centers with yellow. The pattern is not quite the size of the various “drops” so coloring the base in with the same color that you intend to use will help cove up the imperfection. I then put the finished flowers on a cut label base of white cardstock that I embossed with one of my folders. I then mat that onto a yellow piece of cardstock. I love my layers….lol

For the final piece, I stamped a sentiment onto some white cardstock and then layered it onto a yellow cardstock banner. Easy Peasy.

Tag Bon Voyage

Hi everyone!!

Here I am today with my new mini tag "Bon Voyage". Would you like to know how I realized it? Go on reading this post ;)

Step 1: cut a tag on Kraft Cardstock;
Step 2: cut a rectangle of white burlap (it has to fit in the inner part of the tag);
Step 3: use your favourite stencil and white texture paste on the left side of the burlap and let it dry;
Step 4: when the paste is completely dried, use some spray inks to realized some shadows (I used brown and olive). Let everything dry; then paste the burlap on the tag;
Step 5: Diecut some chevron on Copper Glitter Cardstock and paste them over the stenciled part of the burlap;
Step6: use a stamp with some luggages on watercolor paper and color them; stamp some little flowers with brown ink on ivory paper. Fussy cat everything and paste them on the tag;
Step 7: realize your sentiment with a dymo;
Step 8: glue the wonderful Goldenberry Dew Drops!!!
Step 9: Choose a nice ribbon and tie it with a piece of twine.
Well done!!

summer tags

Hello crafty friends,

How are you today? So happy to be with you for a summer creation with Dew Drops.
I made two tags with bright colors and seaside theme, here in France it is a very hot summer, so come with me to the beach!

Here my tags

How to do

First, I cut two big tags in thick paper, I used spray inks and stencils for the background.

Then, I added my stamps in the middle of the tags.

And the same stamps on another paper to color them with watercolor.After drying, I cut them.

I stucked my colored stamps on my tags, added some embellishments and gauze inked on the bottom and put some Dew Drops on it.

To finish, I decorate my seahorse and my shell with some Dew Drops.

Do you like them?

The supplies I used for this tag were very simple.
A Manila Tag

Watch how I made this in the video below.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!!

Sunshine After the Rain

A mixed media canvas by Mary Szymanski
aka MotleyMixedMedia.

    Hi to all my crafty friends!  I'm back here on the Chattering Robins Blog to show you how I created this beautiful canvas using The Robin's Nest Dew Drops and Tear Drops to really make this piece sparkle!

     I started with a 6x6 inch canvas and collaged ripped vintage papers onto it.  Then I white washed gesso and water over the whole piece to push the papers into the background a bit:

     After the glue and gesso are completely dry, I pushed super heavy gesso through a sun rays stencil and let that dry completely:

I then picked out some warm high flow acrylics to cover the canvas and turn it into a bright sun.  After the warm colors dried, I added teal high flow acrylic paint to the sky:

After the paints were good and dry, I started to add the Dew Drops and Tear Drops to embellish the piece, Ranger Glossy Accents.  Here I used Dew Drops from the Primary and Goldenberry jars for the sun, and then Sea Glass Tear Drops for the rain, after I strung silver string down the left side of the canvas:

When the Dew Drops and Tear Drops were dry, I went back and painted the rest of the sky between the sun's rays with the teal blue. It looked more complete that way, and I love how the reds and teal complement each other and really pop!

Almost finished! I stamped "hello Beautiful" onto teal cardstock with Versamark ink and then embossed it using gold embossing powder and my heat tool, ripped around the words, and then taped it onto the canvas using double-sided foam tape:

Here's the final product and the Dew Drops and Tear Drops I used:
