Artist Trading Coins with Dew Drops!

Hi there! Jenn here today sharing these fun artist trading coins using Dew Drops from The Robin's Nest!
These trading coins seem to me the new thing in the crafting world so I thought i would give them a go!
They are 2 1/2" circles cut from watercolor paper. They are inked up with distress inks and stamped using black archival ink. Some doodling with a black fine liner and white gel pen was also added. The images are all fussy cut from scraps of various designer papers and the boy is from Tim Holtz paper dolls.
These are very fun to create because you can do so much in such a small area! Adding the Dew Drops gives that perfect pop and dimension they needed!

A trio cards for the Jewish new year

Hi everyone, this is Libeeti here, with my last post as a DT for Robin's Nest.

Although the Jewish new year will be 3 months away, I started making my New Year cards.
This time I've made a trio cards - all the same design, only different colors.
For each card I took dew drops in matching colors and placed them on the bottom of the mason jar die cut, as if there's sweets in the jar. One of the common blessing for the Jewish new year is 'A sweet year', so I thought it would be nice to place those 'sweets' in the jar.

Here're the cards, separately:

I've used the following dew drops:

And Summer

It has been a great 6 months with a wonderful creative and supportive team. I'm so greatful for the opportunity to work with the oh so beautiful products of Robin's Nest.

See you'll around, in the crafting world,

Sunflower Give Thanks Sign by Melinda

Hello crafty friends,
Melinda here with you today. Today I am sharing a fun project made with some of my favorite crafty items….paper and dew drops!!!
give thanks sign
Here is a look at my finished sign. I love the way it turned out! It is a 12 x 12 sign I created using some paper, chalks, ink and an SVG cut I created.

The beautiful sunflower accents on the frame were made with some cardstock. In the centers of the flowers, I used some Dew Drops from the  Dew Drops mix.

Here is a look at my bottom cluster of flowers. The dew drops are the perfect embellishments for the centers!

This photo is a closer look at the “faux” wood look I gave my frame by brushing some ink along the edges of the chipboard.

To give the black cardstock a bit of a “chalkboard” look, I brushed some Pebbles Chalk randomly across the paper.

Here is a look at my frame hanging on my wall. I added a burlap bow to the top to hide the anchor. I think it turned out very well.

Today is my last post as a member of this fantastic team. I am so grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of this company and this team. I thought the sentiment was very fitting for this project. I sincerely hope I can come back and continue to share the “DEW DROP LOVE” with you! Until then, have a wonderfully crafty day!

Scrapbooking your trip to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Hello and welcome to the blog today.  Shelly with you sharing another Harry Potter themed scrapbook layout.  I made two trips to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter last year - - I am a fanatic and even own my own Hufflepuff robes!

Today's layout focuses on lunch at the Three Broomsticks - and every scrapbook page, card or craft project I create is finished off with Dew Drops!

Let's gather our supplies:

Blue Robin Glitter Cardstock - use Distressed Ocean side (Cut 8" x 9")
Dew Drops Mix - Getaway (one of my top 3 favorite color mixes!)
Diamond Dew Drops - Black
Doillie Die Cut
Dragon Card from Orange Crush Cards Set
12 x 12 Base (I am using a ledger printed cardstock)
Optional:  Label from restaurant, wood veneer

This is a simple layered layout - I begin from the center and work outward - 1st by attaching my photos to cardstock mat and then adhering the whole piece to my base.

A little spritz of  Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist for extra interest, and then layer on my embellishments.

And always, the final touch, Dew Drops!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today - have creative (and magical) week!

Drops In The Ocean: A Summer Vacation Layout How To

Hello there crafty friends!
Welcome to the Chattering Robin's blog.

Michelle here today to share with you how I created my latest scrapbook layout
project featuring FABULOUS summer fun themed products from
The Robin's Nest.

To create one for your self you will need
from The Robin's Nest:

Water Sticker

Sea Horse Glitter Chipboard

Sea Glass Tear Drops

Riverside Mini Dew Drops

Additional supplies used:
Beach/Ocean Themed Scrapbook Paper
Glue
Bubble Cut-Outs
Starfish Cut-Out Border
Wave Coat-Out Border
Chipboard Wording
Ink Spray
Ink Pad
Double Sided Tape
Glitter
12x12 Canvas (for mounting layout as art)

To begin, I chose an ocean themed paper from my stash as the layout choice
for photo's from a family vacation in 2016,
in which one of my nieces got to see the ocean for the very first time,
this paper was perfect for this project.

After choosing photos to use, I then used my Cricut machine, and cut out "bubble" shapes to coordinate with the bubbles from The Robin's Nest water sticker collection sheet  that I had chose for this project.

I used glue (my prefered glue is Best Glue Ever from ScraPerfect)
applied with the No-Clog Writing Tip, (also from ScraPerfect), to apply precisely the amount of glue I needed to add glitter to the bubble design.

With ink in a sand color, I went around the edges of my cut out starfish border for slightly more definition.
I also used glue & glitter on the ocean wave border for added definition.

With a deep blue ink spray, I randomly spritzed the paper, to add a shaded effect to the layout design, followed by random paint splatters in a light blue & white.

Once dried,I added the bubble stickers & various shades of Riverside Mini Dew Drops as well as a few Sea Glass Tear Drops to further resemble under water bubbles  and drops throughout the design.

I glued the glittered bubble cutouts diagonally to the paper, and added the photos with double sided tape.

To finish the design, I added the ocean wave & starfish borders, as well as a glittered sentiment to the bottom of the photos.
I also added the glittered chipboard Sea Horse's from The Robin's Nest to each end of the borders.

I decided to make this layout a piece of art, so I adhered it to a 12x12 deep canvas, and presented it as a gift to my niece, as keepsake of her first trip to Florida.

A perfect way to display a fun summer memory.
