Dragonfly Canvas by Jenn

Hello everyone! Jenn here today sharing my fun dragonfly canvas using The Robin's Nest Dew Drops! Dew Drops are very versatile and are available in many colors as well. The creative possibilities are endless!
For this canvas project, I used Grapes and Leaves
Grapes & Leaves Dew Drops
Other Supplies
6X6 canvas
White Gesso
Hot glue gun
Heat Tool
Iridescent Embossing Powder
Distress Paint Peeled Paint and Bundled Sage
Black Archival Inkpad
Script and texture stamps
Bubbles Stencil
White Crackle paste
Wooden Dragonfly
Ink Sprays in Purple

I started with a 6X6 canvas and coated it in white gesso. Next, I added texture paste in white crackle through a bubbles stencil.
*TIP* Be sure to allow your crackle paste to dry naturally to get the best results.
While the canvas was drying I used distress paints in greens to paint the wooden dragonfly. I then coated it with iridescent embossing powder and set it with a heat tool.

I used a hot glue gun to apply the dragonfly to my canvas and once it dried I added my colors.
I used green distress paint and water first and allowed it to run then dried with my heat tool. Next I added the purple ink and water. I let it run a bit and then dried. Next, I added some stamping with black archival inkpad randomly

Finally the Dew Drops!! These were placed on the front and sides randomly and adhered using a clear adhesive.  Also, two green were used for the eyes of the dragonfly. As a final touch, some white acrylic was splattered all over.

Thanks for visiting the blog and viewing my post today!

Dew Drops are conveniently available online as well as many other products from The Robin's Nest!

Thanks again! Stay Creative!
Jenn
