Watercolor Snow Flake Medallion Card

Happy Thursday and Happy February crafty friends,

Hope you are staying warm! Today I am sharing a fun card I created with some pretty Dew Drops, Diamond Drops and Tear Drops from the Robin’s Nest.
Here is a picture of my finished card. It is a standard A2 size. I used white cardstock for my base. I then cut a mat from some purple cardstock I had in my stash for a mat.

Next, I set to work using some fun inks from the Aladine range and created the watercolor background. I used a piece of watercolor paper and three of their inks. After I was finished making my background, I set to work creating my medallion.

Here’s a closer look at my medallion. I created the scalloped circle so that it would fit the pretty tear drop shaped dew drops. I then created the circle layers to fit the diamond drops and then the pretty little snowflake. I used some foam tape between the layers to give them a little lift.

Here’s a closer look showing some of the clear dew drops I used as accents. I love how you can see the color underneath through them.

I then created the little smile title and used my silver ink to color it. The border is a Martha Stewart punch. I accented the pre-cut holes from the border with some silver dew drops and some stickles.

You can gladly pin this image. You can also see here that I used some Stickles between my tear drops and on my snowflake.

Here’s another look at my finished card.
