How to Create an Easy and Sparkly Bottle Hanger for New Year's Eve

Heading out for a New Year's Eve party and want to thank you your hosts? Make this cute and sparkly bottle hanger to give your bottle a personal touch.

Hello and welcome to the blog today.  Shelly here with simple instructions on making a bottle hanger with The Robin's Nest signature Dew Drops that can later be used as a tree ornament.

Let's get our supplies together:

  • Mini Pallet (mine came from a pad of sticky notes, but these are also available online - I always have my eyes open for things that can be upcycled!)
  • Black paint
  • Teal Glitter Chipboard
  • Dew Drops
  • Black Twine (cut to 20")
  • Tassels, charms, crystals, or other embellishments of your choice

And let's do it:

  • Paint mini pallet with several coats of high gloss black paint - set aside
  • Cut title "auld lang syne" from Teal Glitter Chipboard (I am using my current fave font for holiday projects - Cricut "Font Candy" in 1" size)
  • Adhere title to mini pallet as shown
  • Take 20" black twine and thread tassel to center
  • Thread twine through center of mini pallet, centering tassel at bottom and knot at top
  • Thread a charm or crystal on and knot again to anchor
  • Knot twine at ends to create a loop for hanging and trim excess ends

Apply Dew Drops of different shapes, sizes and colors.

Hang on your bottle and head out to your party.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.

Wishing you a creative 2018!

LO Merry and Bright

Hi everyone!!

I'm Elisa from Italy, and here I am with my new scrapbook page, a no-photo Layout...

When I see for the first time the Black and White Glitter Border Swirl Cardstock I think that it would me perfect for Christmas and for my Prismacolor pencils...
So I gave it a bit of green...

Then I used the Red Rope Glitter Cardstock to create a very large sentiment with my Silly...

Finaly I used Dew Drops and Mini Dew Drops for the Berries and the shining point in the green part of the background...

Here is the process video, hope you enjoy it!!!

And here are some closer pictures:

Have a wonderful Christmas with people you love!!!

Teenage activities

Hello Chattering Robin's Readers,

a blog for The Robin's Nest

Today I am sharing a layout of our grand daughter Becca.

She is the oldest of Jake and Britney's 4 girls and for some
reason I have scrapbooked her sisters pictures but not hers, so
we have lots of photos of Becca this year.

She wasn't in the best of moods in this photo, it was at the end
of a photo day, and she was done, but for me she put this
hat on that I bought in Paris and let me take photos if her.

I love these photos, and with the Saffron Sunrise product line
it was perfect for her photo.

This last summer she told me she was too big to do the photos
and didn't want any taken of her, and spent her entire
week with us her on her phone.

The Saffron Sunrise cards have these words that represent
our icons we use the most on our phones, except for facebook.

When I was looking for the perfect extras for this page,
I realised these were absolutely what I needed to use.

I also used the daffodil stickers that are brand new to the Robin's Nest
on this page as well.

Products I used on this page
Saffron Sunrise collection

Smoky Chevron Cardstock  Saffron Honey Cardstock    Saffron Cards

Saffron Flower Die-Cuts  Black Daisy Glitter Stripe Specialty Paper  Wedding Cut-Outs Cardstock

Dark Vanilla Dew Drops

I used a huge yellow die cut flower from my scrapbook stash
and yellow flowered that I added a brad in the middle.

Everything else is Robin's Nest.

You can find all these products on our website

Have a great day!

Meet our new Design Team

The Robin's Nest is so excited to introduce each of its new design team members to YOU!

Now let's meet each member.

Terri Sproul - Our Team Leader

Peace & Joy Dew Drop Snowflake How To

Hello crafty friends
welcome to Chattering Robin's blog.

Michelle here with you today
to share and easy & quick layered
holiday card,
using The Robin's Nest Dew Drops & Dew Dew Glue.

I also used the absolutely GORGEOUS
Teal Waters Glitter Cardstock also from The Robin's Nest.

I first cut the glitter cardstock just shy of the
white 5x5 card I chose for this project.
I then applied it using double sided tape.

With each layer after, I used that "just shy" of the last,
and used double sided tape to adhere each layer.

For the top layer, I used snowflake shape wood laser cut outs
as a "reverse" stencil, and applied one layer each
of blue, blue green and Tattered Angels Pearl Glimmer Mists,
dying between each color with my heat gun.

After removing the snowflakes,
I used a double spritz of the pearl mist
just to add a shimmer to the "ghost" snowflakes.

For a more frosty effect, I added Diamond Dew Drops
to 3 of the snowflakes, crossway on the card, each centered
with Original & Mini Dew Drops in
"aqua" shades from the Parisian Mini Dew Drop &
Precious Girl Diamond Drops Collections.

*I prefer to turn the dew drops flat side up,
then lay the sheet featuring the
Dew Dew Glue, and gently rub the glue dot unto the drops.

To finish the card, I used metallic thread in silver,
and double sided tape to add the quotation
"Peace And Joy".

And there you have it, an easy
holiday card, with lots of sparkle.

Thank you for visiting today.
