Fun & Funky Christmas Ornament How-To with Dew Drops and Decoupage

Hello and welcome to the blog.  Shelly with you today sharing a fun & funky Christmas ornament that is made really special with the addition of Dew Drops.

Let's get started....

You will need:

Mini Dew Drops in Gold and Green
Smoothfoam Shapes
Decoupage Medium
Spray or Mist in green
Book pages or newspaper
Jingle bells
Hot Cocoa with Whipped Cream (optional)

  • Brush Decoupage medium on to smoothfoam shape and layer newspaper or book page strips until shape is completely cover, brush with another layer of decoupage medium (I also my fingers to layer paper - hence the latex gloves I am wearing!)
  • Let dry (use your heat gun to speed up the process

  • Using a green spray / mist - drip and spray splotches of color to your shape
  • Glitter your shape with a good chunky glitter
  • Let Dry
  • Drill hole through center of shape, top to bottom - all the way through

  • Cut a piece of twine 30" long, fold in half and push through center of ornament (I used a BBQ skewer)
  • Leave loop for hanging and tie loop in knot close to ornament
  • Thread jingle bell on twine at bottom of shape, know, trim excess

Now to add the WOW factor -- embellish your ornament with Green and Gold Mini Dew Drops
