This Girl Gets What She Wants

Hello Chattering Robin's Readers,

a blog for The Robin's Nest.
Robin Posting today,

I titled this page
"This girl gets what she wants"
and I am sure if you ask our cute grand daughter Becca
she will emphatically tell you that is not true.
She probably is right, but I love to tease her about it.

I wanted to do something different with this page,
and because she was wearing blue in the photo, I thought maybe
use orange and pink as my colors for the layout.

When I laid it all out I loved it so forward with the project I went.

I love how this page turned out,
the orange, and pink, glitter pink circles, and
glitter pink sorbet underneath the circles.

Here are the products I used on these pages:

Orange Vellum    Shocking Pink Glitter Sorbet Cardstock   Pink Glitter Crackle
Rosy Chevron Cardstock  Fuscia Mini Dew Drops  Pink Coral Mini Dew Drops

I also used flowers, brads, ribbon and s rubon from my scrapbook stash.
The "this girl" sticker is Robin's Nest and is still available.

I really just had fun with this page.
pulling out anything with pink and orange together,
which isn't as easy as I thought it would be.

Becca is adorable here.

The Robin's Nest supplies list:

Holiday Treat Bags !

Holiday Treat Bags !

Give these cute festive treat bags to your co-workers, family, and friends.

Take out the treat bag from the package and fold along the dotted lines.
I did use my bone folder, but it is completely optional.

Fold along the lines.

After folding along the dotted lines, follow the pattern and glue the treat bag together.
Place the bottom together and glue on the back of the flaps.
Pay attention to the side flap, line it up closely to the other side of the treat bag.

Here is the glue I use. You can use a low temp hot glue gun.

While your treat bags is drying, create your tags. I used two 12*12 cardstock papers from the Robins Nest. Try to coordinate your tags to your treat bags.

Add your goodies inside your treat bag. I use the treat bags to put samples of the products I make.
After you treat is fill up you can add your treat bags.
Inside my treat bag and inside the holiday bag I added drew drops!

A Beautiful Angel Inspired Christmas Mixed Media Canvas How To

Hello there crafty friends!
Michelle here with you today, sharing
my latest mixed media canvas
using exclusive products from The Robin's Nest.

  This project is inspired
by the angels announcing the birth of Christ.
From the first view of the beautiful
"Our Temple Wedding" cardstock,
I have wanted to use it on a canvas,
and what better season then Christmas
to do so.

Robin's Nest items used:
Our Temple Wedding Cardstock
Alpha Glitter Stickers (white)
Irredescent Classic Glitter Swirl Vellum
Gold Dew Drops
Silver Bells Dew Drops

Additional supplies:
Pigment Powder
Metallic Paint
Glitter/Metallic Gel Pens
Metallic/Irridescent Mists
Resin Wing/Crown & Cross Embellishments
Pigment Sticks
Paint Brush
Word Embellishment

I began with a 4x12x2 canvas as the base,
as I wanted the entire design of the
"angel" with the trumpet and the fencing.

I wanted a little bit of "glitz"
on the sides, top & bottom of the canvas,
so I chose the TRN Glitter Swirl Vellum.

Once the cardstock & vellum glue set, I
used a metallic rose-gold paint around the
front edges of the cardstock.

I then applied pigment sticks in white, gold & silver,
with water to add a bit of depth and texture to the "angel" figure.
I used Mini Dew Drops, along with mist splatter,
as sort of a starry snowy sky.

I used wired gold ribbon to make a bow & tendrils,
and added dew drops to pigment powdered
resin crown/wing embellishment,
and glued it as a center for the bow.

For final touches, I added
"Luke 2" as reference to scripture,
and a pigment powdered resin cross,
as well as the wood laser cut word
"Wonderful" to the bottom of the canvas.

And there you have it. This type of
design would be a perfect addition hanging on the wall
or sitting on a table or shelf.
