Make your Travel Journal with The Robin's Nest Canvas Paper

Hi my friends!
It's Angela today with a tutorial on how to make your personal Travel Journal using the beautiful Canvas papers by The Robin's Nest.

Do you like it! So, let's get started!
First you have to prime the canvas and the best to use is clear gesso, because it doesn't cover the patterns.

When it's all dry, you can start coloring the canvas. For doing that, I chose pigments because I wonted a bright effect.
I repeated coloring and splattering until I reached the effect I desired.

When I was satisfy I cut the paper referring to the notebook I would put inside, same high and half inch wider.
I made a hole in the centre pf the paper and I reinforced it using an eyelet. That's the place for the elastic who closes the Travel journal.
To reinforce the cover, I glued in the inside a gorgeous glittered paper.

Two holes at the top and at the bottom, in the middle of the cover, are the place where to tide the elastic who keeps the notebook in place.
A few other finishing touches like a charm and a few dew drops complete my own personal travel journal.

I hope you will try to make your own too and, if so, remember to show me, I will be pleased to see your projects.
Thanks for stopping by.
