Hello and welcome to the blog. Shelly with you today, sharing some techniques and products that will spark your creativity!
If you follow me on social media, you know that I recently made a visit to my mecca - - The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. While I was certainly HP obsessed before, this visit is taking my crafting to a whole other place - - and while I have never made ATC cards in the past, I am finding myself drawn to this tiny art form to explore different techniques and to express my love of all things Harry Potter.
Today's project honors Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire!
So let's see how I made this 3D ATC with so much sparkle!
(I used the 2 different glitter cardstock, diamond dew drops and straw from this kit)
Best Glue Ever, tin foil and some type of paper for paper mache shape
I began this project by creating a paper mache goblet
I created a tin foil sculpture, then used a mixture of 50/50 of Best Glue Ever and water as a paper mache medium to coat my foil sculpture with layers of paper and let dry thoroughly
Next I cut a piece of chipboard / cardboard to ATC size
I used flame glittered card stock to cover the the chipboard, and then a corner cut the black glittered cardstock for interest
I then glued down a "round" of "straw" to highlight my ATC focal point.
After painting and glittering my "goblet", I attached it to my ATC base and highlighted with Diamond Drops.
Of course, I inked every edge available.
