Robot Birthday Card!!!

Let's continue our "All Boy" theme for this month with the perfect birthday card for the little man in your life.  It is full of fun 3D embellishments, silver glitter cardstock, and bold stripes. As soon as I saw that little robot stamp, I just knew Metallic Silver Dew Drops would make perfect eyes and metal looking rivets.

The Robin's Nest Supplies:

Directions: 1. Stamp two images of the robot with Archival Black Ink onto white cardstock. Color and fussy cut one robot image. Separate the head and body then use dimensional foam pads to re-assemble the robot pieces over the other colored image.

2. Matte the robot using Red Rope Glitter Cardstock leaving a thin border.  Next, attach a piece of embossed silver mirror card off set to the left side.  Use a hole punch to cut two dots from red cardstock. Layer the Silver Dew Drops on the red circles.  Attach the eyes and carefully use a permanent black pen to add the pupils.  Adhere a birthday greeting on the Robot's tummy and use pink chalk to highlight its cheeks.   Finally, cut a piece of Admiral Blue Stripe Cardstock 4x5", tear the right edge, and attach the cluster.

3. Use a gear pattern embossing folder to emboss Silver Glitter Cardstock. Attach the embossed cardstock to a red 5x7" card base leaving a thin red border. Finally, add the layered robot cluster having the striped cardstock against the left edge.

4. Emboss silver mirror cardstock 5x7". Carefully cut out six gears and adhere Metallic Silver Dew Drops to the center of each.  (TIP: It is possible to use incomplete gears that go off the edge of the paper. If you attach them layered behind other pieces of cardstock no one will know they are only partial shapes.)

5. Lastly, add a neat row of Silver Dew Drops to look like metal rivets along the lower edge of the striped matting and embellish with a scattering of tiny silver stars.
