. Hello Robin's Nest Fans .
Today I want to share with you a frame that I made for some Home Decor.
Cortney's sister told me that this project looked more like a Valentine's project, but I think that it is cute, so hopefully it inspires you to make a Heart project outside of Valentine's Day.
I started by drawing out the letters, I wasn't really sure if I wanted it to say Home or Love. I ended up liking the "L" better, so we have Love. I then drew it big on a piece of plain paper. Cut out the letter, turn it upside down on the back of cardstock that you want to cut out, then add some ink around the edges. I used the Wedding Sayings Cutouts Cardstock here. Cut the cardstock and viola, you have a giant custom letter.
I pulled out the embellishments that I wanted to play with. Cherry Kisses Archival Seeds, Girl Embellies, Heart Dew Drops, Classified Dew Drops, Heart Die Cuts, Azure Die Cuts, Silver Glitter Alphas, and the backside of the Wedding Sayings Cutouts Cardstock.
I cut a slit in the Hearts Die Cuts to that I could slide it between the letter "L".
I added a cluster by the bottom of the "L". I drew the rest of the word love in cursive with The Best Glue Ever, then slid the Mini Red Drops onto the glue. Hint: I have made skinny cursive letters before, but it doesn't make the letters very clear, so make the letters larger.
Slide the Dew Drops onto the glue.
I added EST 1998 in Silver Glitter Alphas, thats when we started dating. It's only been a few days :).
The butterfly cluster was made with a Black Dew Drop, silver mini dew drops, die cuts from the Azure Die Cuts and a clear Heart Dew Drop. I placed a red Heart Dew Drop at the end of the "e" too.
Add Archival Seeds spiratically throughout the clusters.
Using a black canvas, I glued Brown Glitter Cardstock in the center of the canvas.
Using Red Ribbon from my stash, I tied a ribbon around the canvas.
Gluing "you've captured my heart" ribbon on the edges added a sweet touch of cuteness.
I printed a picture from my phone, changing it to black and white and making it much smaller.
Glue the picture in the cluster.
Ta-da!
What do you think?
Until next time!
Have a super crafty day!
