I scream, you scream

Hi, Jess here today. My mum worked in an ice cream parlor for over 20 years.  Growing up we spent a lot of time there.  I love ice cream.  Since it's so hot here(in Arizona) I decided to create a little something to cool off.
Doesn't it look good enough to eat?! So here's how I made my ice cream treat.

Cut a styrofoam ball in half and covered it with modeling paste. I just smeared it on smoothly on the top and lumpy around the edges to make it appear as if it had been scooped.  While the paste dried I worked on some other projects(pop in on the third Sunday of the month to see one of them!).

Once the paste was dried I used acrylic paint to make them look delicious.  While the paint dried I fashioned my cone.
I used my Brown Glitter Cardstock to form a cone.  I cut a large circle and then cut a big wedge shape out of the circle.  I rolled it up and glued it with my hot glue gun.  Now time to put my scoops on the cone.
Totally delicious, but I like sprinkles and a cherry on top.  Don't you?
Pistachio Archival Seeds to make my sprinkles.  I painted a bead red using acrylic paint for the cherry.  The stem is made from red twine that I tied in a knot and rolled around in some glue to make it super stiff.  Once the stem was dry I fed it through the hole in the bead and glued it to the scoop.
So much fun happening here.
Now who wants to go out and get an ice cream?
Don't forget to pop by my blog to see what else I have been creating.
Jess
