I wanted to start off with a Glitter Present Cake.  The picture is below and I will give you detailed instructions sometime in April.

My "cake" is actually brownies, and I must admit that I am not a very good cook.  Cortney has a favorite brownie from our local grocery store, Harmon's Grocery, called Peanut Butter Bliss Brownies.  I could not get them to give me the recipe, but I am giving them a shout-out for wonderful brownies.  The Glitter Presents are created using our New Glitter Cardstock.  I will give the pattern next month too.  Anyway, I am keeping you from all of those wonderful projects.

Happy Hopping!

Fabulous You!

Good Morning!

Welcome to the 2nd of my shoe themed creations made with products from The Robin's Nest®.
This piece of wall art was very easy to put together. Let me show you how!

First I found a template of a shoe that I wanted to use. The template I chose was originally used for quilting. I tweaked it a little to adapt it for this paper project.

Don't be afraid to look around a little and think outside the box when creating your project. You might be surprised at what you can find to use.

Cut out the pieces of the shoe template. Now is the time you can play around and decide what paper to use for each section.  You can use paper for the bow, something else, or nothing at all. I played around quite a bit before coming up with my final decision. When you are happy with your choices, trace onto the paper and cut out. Now you are ready to glue your shoe together.

The next step is to cut out three pieces of paper, one to put the shoe on and the other two to accent the background.  I used two types of corner punches. The first punch rounded the corners of the sheet with the shoe, the other created a decorative corner that I could slip in the black border paper.

I took a pretty piece of decorative wood, painted it black with a bubblegum pink border. I stapled 2 pieces of pink ribbon to the back and tied it in a bow at the top to create the frame hanger.

Recycled Zebra Lampshade

Hello there,

I have been working on a few rooms in the house
that need a little updating, and as I was working on the
guestroom, I sewed new pillows from old
clothes, put them on the bed, put up new curtains, and
thought I was done.
On the end table was a clear bubbled glass lamp with an older
lampshade, it matched, I thought it looks good.

Sat back on the chair in the room, and kept on thinking,
something needs to be changed.
I changed the picture above the bed, added
dimensional angels blowing horns and sat again and thought
it needs something else.

Then it occurred to me the lamp was still the
shabby Victorian look and needed to be updated,
so here is what I did.

It needed lightened,
so I chose the Cream Glitter Zebra CS.
I needed 4 sheets to cover the lampshade.

I drew the edges of the shade on the paper, 2 12x12 sheets glued together.

Cut out the shapes.

Then with a glue gun, glued the Zebra CS to the lamp shade.
I did have to do some trimming with scissors to
make it lay flat.

Here is the covered lampshade.

I then glued from the dress I used to make the cheetah pillows from,
the tie from the back of the dress.
I glued it to the bottom edge of the lamp shade.

I then added dew drops to the top and bottom edge of the lamp.
I alternated colors and shapes.

Here is the lamp sitting on the end table in the corner of the room.

These are shots of the lamp close up, with the dew drops glued on.

The lamp with all the accessories.

The room is so much more complete!
The lamp shade needed to have less of a pattern and color to it
to make the room feel good.

Just a few photos from the guest room again.

The pillows made from a dress and a skirt.

So inviting!

Have a great day!

Hey there Scrappy Friends!
Lisa here today to share a layout I created using some of Robin's Nest new releases! These products are awesome and you are going to want some for yourself!
Here is my layout:

I used the backside of Bunny Stripe Cardstock for my background. The pinks were perfect for my daughter's dress. I printed 2 wallet sized photos. Next take 2 doilies, cut 1/3 off of one and place on top upper right of background. Place the other 2/3 on the lower bottom right and add the full doily to the middle left side. Cut 6" of Rosy Ribbon and stitch in place.

Add the pink diecuts  (paper piece, butterfly & bird) and Dew Drops from the Rosy Mini Die-Cut Shapes. Add the silver swirls from the Rosy Straw packet:

Adhere the pink trim from the Rosy Straw to the photo using Beacon's 3 in 1 Glue (man, I love this stuff!)
Cut the title "Fabulous" from the Glitter Word Titles and add to layout:
Here are the products I used:
Don't you just love all these new products? I know I do!
Just a reminder that we are having a blog hop on March 31st. There will be lots of inspiration and a few prizes! Hope you will mark your calendar and join us!
Hope you have a wonderful day!
