Crawdad Fishing

Happy Wednesday!

Robin posting today.

Before our mission every September we would go to Strawberry

Lake/Reservoir and spend a week camping.

Our kids would come for a few days and join us, the fall

air cool, and leaves changing on the trees, 

coats coming out, and fun things to do.

We are always wanting to do some crawdad fishing, Trying to 

catch a few crawdads for the kids, and really

to give them something fun to do and remember.

You get fresh chicken, tie it to a string, put it in the water

and the crawdads can smell it, they crawl to the chicken, grab

hold of it and you pull them in.

Or so the theory of it is.
We have been successful doing this, but just not on this day.

But we did get some fun photos of the day.

This time we went fishing but, mmm no crawdads.

This is probably one of my favorite pictures I took that day.

Ally and Chelsea on the end of the dock, sitting and fishing

for crawdads, and just being friends.

I love how green it is behind them too.

The opposite side to the last page.

I so love all the kids laying on the boat dock looking for crawdads.

I think we spotted 2.  Maybe it was just too cold for them

to come out and play.  But it was a fun day for sure.
