Christmas Blog Hop

Christmas Blog Hop

Welcome Robin's Nest Fans!

This blog hop is a fabulous way for The Robin's Nest to Thank our Design Team Members.  Each of these members have awesome talent, and they have lives beyond The Robin's Nest (yes, I know, that is very hard to believe!).  We use our blog hops to have our fans take the time to get to know our Design Team Members better.  Each of them creates so many awesome projects on their own blogs.  As an incentive, we are giving away Christmas Dew Drops.  Simply stop by each blog and leave a sweet note, follow each blog, and do the same with this blog too.  There are Dew Drops being given away on each blog, yeah!

To start the hop, I have created some ornaments.  I will give instructions in the next few weeks, so that you can create your own.  Have fun! And Merry Christmas from everyone involved with
The Robin's Nest.

Thanks in advance for participating,
The Robin's Nest

More Christmas Cards with The Robin's Nest

Candy here and today I am featuring more Christmas Cards created with The Robin's Nest Christmas Collection.  My first card I am sharing today is 5" x 7" card that uses White Glitter Cardstock for its card base.  I then adhered a 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" piece of Christmas Tree Glitter Cardstock onto the card base.  I stamped the "Merry Christmas" sentiment with white ink at the bottom of the card.  Next I adhered Crimson Mini Dew Drops and Silver Bell Dew Drops to the trees to look like ornaments.  Finally, I added Pearl White Diamond Dew Drops to the top of the tree in the shape of a star.

For my next 6" x 6" card I adhered a 6" square piece of the red side of the Black and White Holly Glitter Cardstock to the card base and on top of that I adhered a 5 1/2" square piece of Snow Covered Trees Cardstock.  At each corner of the card front I added a green Tear Drop from the River Bed Tear Drops and a gold Dew Drop from the Metallic Gold Dew Drops.

Next I cut a 4 1/4" piece of White Glitter Cardstock and added the Christmas Rub-Ons.  I then adhered the small red Dew Drops from the Regency Mini Drops on the holly berries.

The Robin's Nest Christmas Collection makes quick and easy Christmas Cards.  I would love for you to visit my blog at Candy's Creations.  Have a great day!

Holiday Fun

Hi everyone! It's me, Tonya and I'm here to share my project I created for the Robin's Nest using the Christmas Collection. Also the altered art design team is cross promoting with Walnut Hollow. I picked the Contemporary Memory Album as my project to alter and this is what I came up with.

First off I did some sanding and then I watered down some Sable Brown Acrylic Paint to create a wash which I sponged over all pieces of the album and then let dry.

Once dry I attached the hinges to the album.

Now the fun part…decorating! I cut a 10"x10" square of Cindy Lou Dot Glitter Cardstock, inked edges and then adhered with Mod Podge to the cover of the album. Next I cut various squares and banners from Cindy Lou Swirl Glitter Cardstock and Wrap Glitter Cardstock and punched a doily from the Vanilla Fluer Glitter Cardstock with my Martha Stewart circle edge punch. I also punched a lacy border from the Irredescent Snow Glitter Vellum and finished off with some scraps of White on White Classic Glitter Swirl Cardstock from another project I had worked on. I arranged all pieces on album and once I had it the way I wanted I adhered all pieces down.

I also found this free Holiday Fun Digital Image while scouring the internet. I thought it added the perfect touch to the cover.

The packages I fussy cut from the Cindy Lou Presents Cardstock I added a little Stickles for some shimmer.

I finished off with tulle, paper flowers, buttons, pearl sprays, sequins and Metallic Gold Dew Drop. A side note the red twine is off of a bag of cat food and I thought it would work perfectly in my project. :-)
There you have it a very easy project that only takes a couple of hours. You can knock out several of these for a cherished Christmas gift.
If you have any questions please let me know and be sure to stop by the Robin's Nest to check their Christmas Collection and Walnut Hollow's Contemporary Memory Album.

Merry Christmas 2003

These are pictures of a friend's daughter back in 2003 on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in her pretty outfits and her new present of babies, strollers, and baby baskets.

I used the wonderful Robin's Nest papers, Dew Drops, and rub-ons.  For more info about the Robin's Nest products please visit their blog.

Along the bottom of the page and also as the banner at the top I used the wonderful Flame Glitter swirl, the pops of the glitter stars of just wonderful.  I used the Christmas Words Glitter paper for the title and also sections of the plaid in the cluster in the top left corner.  I also used a little strip of backside of the Vanilla Fleur Glitter Cardstock (it has these wonderful stripes along the bottom of the entire project) and then added in the Gold Dew Drops.  I used the backside of the White Pinetree Cardstock, it has this wonderful green swirly patterned that fit wonderfully with the page, you can see section of it in the picture above.

Here you can see one of the many clusters I created on this page using the cute little wood ginger-man shape from inked with a brown chalk ink and then added in the wonderful Gold Dew Drops to act as buttons from Robin's Nest.  You can also see the Gold Classic Swirl Glitter Cardstock and Red Classic Swirl Glitter Cardstock in the background.

Here is another little Christmas wood piece from that I inked in green chalk ink and topped with a gold Dew Drop to act as a star.

Here are 3 more cute little Christmas wood pieces from inked in red and brown chalk ink, then linked together with twine and topped with little gold Dew Drops to act as bells on the reins.

Here is a close of of the wonderful Rub-on from Robin's Nest.  I just love this Santa, it is just the perfect vintage rustic Santa!!

It is never to late to scrap those Christmas pictures of years past, so dig them out and get in the merry mood!!
