Hello Robin's Nest Fans!
I have been waiting to show you how we made this fun Bulb Box, and today seems like as good of day as any. My daughter Chelsea and I brainstormed for a few days, and this is our project.
I had a wine box that I have been saving because it looks so vintage. I just couldn't figure our what I wanted to create with it...
The Garden Blog Hop perfect!
And by the way, if you didn't stop by the blogs, you should. There are some awesome ideas!
I put together these pictures of how we created the box. If we come off as random and sometimes backwards, well, that's just how we are :).
We started by using The Robin's Nest colored chipboard, and covered the top of the box. We then drew our leaves on the backside of the chipboard, and fuzzy cut them out. Chelsea bent the chipboard so that we could have more dimension. We then adhered the dew drops to the leaves and petals.
For more visual art, we wrapped green wire around a toothpick and glues two tear drops to the end. (I stole this idea from Terri Sproul, thanks Terri!)
After dew dropping the petals and leaves with Dew Dew Glue, we started gluing everything together. We twisted more chipboard and created ivy/grass; and used a black Sharpie to add spots on the lady bugs. We also Sharpied the butterfly antenna's.
I added Robin's Nest Straw, which is a glittery wirey ribbon beneath the flowers and leaves for more texture.
Here are more pictures of the details.
I hope this inspires you to created something for your garden bulbs. The wine box works perfect because of the stuff inside. Some bulbs are fragile (I have found this out the hard way).
Have a fabulous day!
Until next time, Happy Crafting!
