fabulous creations made using Robin's Nest

This month at Robin's Nest we have been sharing products from the Special Delivery Collection
and the cross Promo this month is EC Crafts.
I am excited to share a few pieces today using the monthly collection.

The above page is a fave of mine with me and my only Grandson.

Hi everyone! It's me, Tonya and I'm here to share a mini album I created out of coffee filters using the Special Delivery Collection from the Robin's Nest which is 20% off this month and we are cross promoting with EC crafts

The mini I created isn't the typical baby mini album. I made this with my cat, Omega in mind…thus, the title "Cat-titude" meaning cat with attitude. :-)
I started with four coffee filters as the base for my mini album.

Recycled Lamp

Hello Everyone!

This week I decided to work on
something for the home.

I have had this lamp for a very long time
and I love it, but it is getting very
dated, and so I decided to upcycle it.

So I decided to make it match the guest
house that we are working on this summer.

Listen to Your ART by Michelle Frae Cummings

Here's a piece I recently made for a upcoming Art Auction for a Charity Wings event!
I wanted to create something that was crazy messy yet beautiful and inspiring.
I started with a sturdy 12x12 chipboard square. This was my base.

I tore assorted papers and glued them in place.
Aquamarine Sorbet, Blue Raspberry, Blue Robins.

Special Delivery!!!

It's Ro back with you to share another card using the wonderful Robin's Nest products! Last time I visited, I shared a couple of girl cards made with this month's featured collection, Special Delivery. Well, today, I am sharing a boy card!

This 5"x5" card was so much fun to make. The image was stamped on a piece of white cardstock and colored with Spectrum Noir Markers. That was mounted on some red cardstock, and then again on more white cardstock.

I added the "Special Delivery" sticker tab from the Baby Boy Sticker set and mounted that on a piece of the charming Rocking Horse specialty paper. I left a pocket on the back of the image part so I could slide in a tag which was made from the Baby Boy sticker set.

I simply mounted the sticker on a piece of white cardstock and trimmed around it. I added a shimmery red piece of ribbon and a bright yellow brad to tie all the elements together. I stamped a sentiment on the tag and inserted it into the pocket.

For the inside of the card, I used more of the Rocking Horse paper and some stamped sentiments mounted on white and red cardstock.

All this month, the Special Delivery collection is on sale! If you'd like to see more projects with this or any other collection, please be sure to follow us here and on Facebook! You will be able to see all the specials and projects from the Design Team. The projects are very awesome and inspiring.

If you'd like to know more about me, please feel free to visit me at Toodle Noodle Creative. I look forward to the next time I get to visit!

A Little Girls - Must Have!

Start them off with.......
what appears to be a container full of baby products, shampoo, lotions, potions, gift cards and such, but watch as this same container becomes someone's first purse.
I cut the base off of a vinegar jug, after I washed it out and removed the labels. I loved the oval shape, so I went with it. Next I used my hole punch and popped holes all around the top edge. Not too far in, not too far apart, but just a nice distance to work my yarn around. Next I used a single crochet pattern for about 6 rounds. I then used white yarn for a scallop edge. I made two handles and voila, one little purse, one sweet gift basket, one great memory this will be. Don't you just love how those stickers from the Special Delivery Collection seem like they were made for this project. I think I need more of those stickers and lucky for me, they are 20% off this month at The Robins Nest.

This project will help save our landfills and your money - a win win!
Why not make one of these adorable "bucket bags" for your next little bundle of joy.

Give A Gift

Give a Gift
I just couldn't resist trying my hand at a "yesteryear" craft. You've probably all seen these holiday card containers, right? If you haven't type "card basket" into google. You will find all sorts of inspiration, designs, patterns and more there. I found my pattern on pinterest. I'm sure I could have designed my own pattern, but I wanted a starting spot, so this seemed more efficient.
Here are my finished pieces.

Now as you can see, I need to do a few more to really master the art of putting these together. But I really do like how they turned out. I kept it really simple for my first pieces. I will however be trying to crochet my edges with fancy yarn and such in the future. The video does explain the process and offers some tips. As for these pieces, well I think they will do just fine as a gift box for a small baby gift. Make sure to check out the google link, there are some really stunning pieces shown there. I know that I will be making many more of these, they are fun and its a bit of a surprise for you the maker, when they come together.
All the paper products used here are from the Special Delivery Collection and are 20% off until the end of April. Don't forget to stock up on some Dew Drops, they are a must have for this project and if you're like me, you won't be able to make just one, so get a lot of colors.

Imagine a basket for cookies, small gifts or keepsakes.
Thanks for watching. Lee

Special Delivery, Baby Boy Cards

This months special at The Robins Nest is "Special Delivery" 20% off this month!
The 2 cards below were created using some of this collection.
I started with this reversible Special Delivery card stock, cut to a little less than 4x6".
I inked the edges with blue ink. The opposite side is the plaid that you see which I sized with a scalloped punch and  2 rings.

I added some twine at the top of the card and glued the circles in place. I wrote the word "Boy" with a colored pencil and ink pen onto the white circle and added in place with foam tape.
I inked some glittered letter stickers and placed them around the outside of the circle to spell. "Baby".
For this "Genuine Boy" card, I distressed with brown ink the edges of a 4x6" card.  Then I added a 3.5" by a little less than 6" piece of Airplane card stock after I distressed the edges of that.

I added some twine before placing the paper to the card. From The Genuine Boy Sticker Collection, I used the above image. I placed it onto a piece of plain card stock for some durability and added it to the front of the card with foam tape.
I finished the card with 2  Metallic Gold Dew Drops, and some amber Diamond Dew Drops.

Princess Mini Book Cover

3 Little Princess'

Hi all!

So I have had this idea for a long time that I wanted to create
an incredible

I have been working on this book
on and off for several weeks.
I have been saving a stash of embellishments
that I have been saving for a few
years just for this "dream" book that
I wanted to create, plus
I had to wait for a photo shoot with
my granddaughters to have all the things
I needed to create this book.
So now is the time to be creative!

Today I will share with you just the cover of the book.

I used a mini book shape 5 1/2 x 11.
You can purchase these chipboard shapes
from our website as a 6 page book.

Girlie Girlie Cards

Hi everyone, thanks for stopping by.  This month we are working with  the Special Delivery collection which is full of baby related products that can be used in non-baby projects.  We are also working with embossing folders from Ecstacy Crafts.

Steph here today to show you how fun and versatile this collection is.  I used the reverse side of the Special Delivery cardstock as well as the  Sweet Girl stickers.

I embossed white cardstock with the embossing folder and lightly inked it in pink.  The sentiment was die cut from it's backing, matted on white cardstock and then placed back on it's backing.   Ribbon was tied around the card and the girl image was cut from the large tag and tied with some twine to the ribbon.  Sprinkle a few Metallic Pink Dew Drops around and a sweet card comes together quickly.

My next card uses Pink Roses on Cardstock as well as lots of  Pink Dew Drops around the floral images that were embossed on white cardstock..

After embossing the cardstock and inking with pink, I used the debossed side and added dew drops around the flowers.  I added Metallic Pink Dew Drops in the flower centers.

That's a lot of Dew Drops, but they stayed perfectly in place with the Best Glue Ever from ScraPerfect.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Lorrie Jonas with Robins Nest
How to make an image transfer with scrap book paper

Image Transfer

For This month's project I wanted to share a technique using scrapbook paper . Many times I find paper I really love so many beautiful images. I  love adding images as textures into my journal pages. My times it's easier for me to do an image transfer rather than trying to duplicate the image by drawing it myself. We would love to see what you come up with using this technique.

Thank you for following us here at Robins Nest,
