Robin Redbreast

Robin Redbreast
Hello!  This is Robin, here to show you my latest layout.

I started out by printing a photo onto tissue paper.  This is a sensitive medium to print on and may take a few tries to succeed.  You’ll need to tape tissue paper onto a piece of cardstock.  Make sure you tape on all sides and corners.  Hold onto the paper as the printer pulls it in.
This was a successful print even though I intended for the picture to print in the center of the paper.
At least I got the entire impage.
I’m using the Green Butterflies Glitter Cardstock as a base.  I tore up pieces of Kiwi Sorbet Glitter Cardstock, Purple Flowers Glitter Cardstock, Spring Flowers Glitter Cardstock, and Spring Stripe Glitter Cardstock and collaged the pieces over the base page with Liquitex Matte Medium.
I painted white wash over the entire page.
I randomly stamped leaves with Staz-on ink and added color with Gelatos around the page.
Adding more texture, I used a stencil to apply Golden Light Molding paste.  Once this is dry, spray with a workable fixative so the Gelatos don’t smear when adding more layers.

I added more white acrylic paint with a brush and with a wad of tissue,
dabbing it all around, for yet, more texture.

I applied a robin redbreast ephemera from Altered Pages to the paper.  I extended the branch with acrylic paint and added Gelatos to the bird for a painterly look.
On a lower layer, I added washi tape to the upper left and lower right corners.

I stamped the quote and date with alphabet stamps.
The bird cage from Gina’s Designs was painted with brass distress paint.
I added more detail with a black and white pen and added rub-ons for more detail.
Whatcha think???  Let me know in the comment section below.
Thanks for coming by!  Until next time...
